Comment: JYP’s latest girl group, Miss A, remains at No. 1 this week with their debut song “Bad Girl Good Girl”.  Miss A, which consists of members Fei, Jia, Suzy, and Min, has finally debuted with their first album, “Bad But Good”. The girls were training for three years plus under JYP and have already been part of shows and commercials (Samsung Anycall). The title track “Bad Girl Good Girl” is a medium tempo number that has European melodies incorporated with strong American hip-hop rhythms. The girls are to show powerful stage performances with this song.

Comment: Tae Yang’s “I Need A Girl” continues to move closer to the top spot and is at No. 2 this week.  Tae Yang, who received much love through his mini album, “Hot”, has returned after two years with his first full length album, “Solar.” This album holds special meaning for the singer himself as it celebrates the ten year dream he had since his days as a trainee. The title track is “I Need a Girl”, which was composed by rookie producer Jun Koon. Tae Yang’s mellow vocals flow well with the easy melody line and special rap featuring by fellow Big Bang member, G-Dragon.  This song is already a two time winner at Inky Gayo.

Comment: Brown Eyed Girl’s Narsha who had sung solo songs on drama OSTs before is coming out with her first solo mini album, “Narsha”. The producer of the Brown Eyed Girls’ third album (“Abracadabra” & “Sign”), Cho Young Chul, took responsibility for the production of this album and upgraded it a notch. The title track is “Bbi Ri Bba Bba”, which is also an electronica number with house beats. It is a very unique song.  This week it drops one spot to No. 3.

Comment: MC Mong’s “Hurt To The Extent Of Death”, the title song from the 2nd project album of the Blue Brand series, “Trauma Part 2″, rises one spot again to No. 4 this week.  This song has the trademark MC Mong hip-hop style ballad with a listener friendly melody.  Female singer Mellow lends her sweet vocal which includes many English lyrics, reminding us of Mong’s old hit “A Letter Written To You Part 2″.

Comment: Having established herself as one of the top female solo singers in Korea now, Son Dam Bi has returned after a year and four months of preparation  for her third mini album, “The Queen.” The singer shows a 180 degree transformation in contrast to her past retro style bokgo dance songs. The title track is “Queen”, which incorporates electronica and rock to bring about a new style of pop dance music. The bouncy rhythms along with its addictive chorus and rap will catch listeners’ attention right away.  This week “Queen” falls one spot to No. 5.

6. (New) Se7en – Better Together *** HOT SHOT DEBUT ***

Comment: After a hiatus of three years to concentrate on his overseas activities, Se7en finally makes a comeback in Korea with a mini-album “Digital Bounce”.  The title track is “Better Together”, created by YG’s main producer Teddy, who also composed 2NE1’s “Fire”, “I Don’t Care”, and so forth.  This is a listener friendly dance beat songs perfect for the summer.  It is our highest debut this week at No. 6.

7. (+6) G.na (feat. Yong Jun Hyung of BEAST) – 꺼 져 줄게 잘 살아 (I’ll Back Off So Live Well)

Comment: Perhaps the most anticipated new female solo singer this year, G.NA makes her debut this summer with mini album, “Draw G’s First Breath”. G.NA (Korean name: Choi Gina) has worked with famous composer Kim Do Hoon, who composed the title track “I’ll Back Off So Live Well”, yet she alone produced the entire album. Wheesung is responsible for penning the lyrics to this track. This mid-tempo track has an unforgettable melody line that is as shocking as the title of the song. BEAST member, Yong Jun Hyung, helps out with the rap featuring in the song as well.  This week it reaches the top 10, moving up six spots to No. 7.

8. (+13) SHINee – 루시퍼 (Lucifer)

Comment: SHINee, who received much love with “Ring Ding Dong”, returns this summer transformed, in time for their second album, “Lucifer”. Through this new thirteen track album, fans are able to hear a variety of music styles in addition to the members’ skillful vocals. The title track is “Lucifer”, which uses both the break dance genre popular in the ‘80s along with urban electronica. The powerful rhythms are expected to be refreshing and addictive. The lyrics portray a selfish heart who mistakes obsession as love, going back and forth between blackmail and conciliation.  This week it moves up 13 spots to No. 8, becoming SHINee’s latest top 10 hit.

Comment: After a nasty split with 2PM, Park Jae Bum is finally singing again and has released an EP.  “Nothin’ On You” is a remake of B.o.B’s hit single, with supplementary melody arrangements by producer Park Geun Tae. An English and remix version of the song are also included. Fans all over the world are already anticipating this hot single! This week it moves up six spots into the top 10, at No. 9.

Comment: Park Myung Soo teamed up with SNSD’s Jessica last year to record the fun song “Cold Noodle”.  He is back again this year, teamming up with a member of another prominent girl group: Nicole of Kara.  This is yet another fun song with a cute cartoon MV.  “Whale” did even better than “Cold Noodle” last year as it hits the top 10 this week, moving up 13 spots to No. 10.

Comment: After their top 3 hit “HUH”, 4minute is back with their follow up song “I My Me Mine”, and it drops one spot to No. 11 this week.  This is another song that displays 4minute’s fierce image on stage despite their young age.  It is destined to be another big hit for the group. 4minute is set to make their Japanese debut.  We wish them good luck.

Comment: Kan Mi Youn, who has debuted fourteen years ago as the lead vocalist of Baby VOX has returned with a digital single, “Go Crazy” after spending two years doing activities in China. It’s been three years since her last digital single album in 2007 and in order for this comeback; she has spent lots of time working on new music, dance and style. Many people have known Kan as a ballad singer, but through “Go Crazy,” a dance number with lively rhythms and guitar sounds, fans will see her otherwise. The song was composed by hitmaker, Bang Shi Hyuk and features special rap featuring by MBLAQ’s Mir.  This week “Go Crazy” drops three spots to No. 12.

Comment: Super Junior, who has topped various charts the past month with their hit song, “Bonamana,” returns with a repackaged fourth album. The new album consists of four new tracks, including follow up title track “No Other”.  It has hip-hop sounds from the south with trendy beats and a synth riff. This pop dance number was composed by Reefa, C-2, and Ryan Jhun, and penned by renowned Kenzie. The song depicts yet another side of Super Junior.  This week “No Other” drops seven spots to No. 13.

Comment: Korea’s sexy diva Chae Yeon makes a comeback this summer after a year, with her second mini album. The new title track is “Look Look Look”, a dance number with electronica sounds and Miami beats. This dynamic song is expected to excite fans once more. This song is about a new generation of women and men who are shy in front of love. The song is garnering even more interest because veteran singer Kim Gun Mo took part in the chorus.  It is our biggest mover this week, up 30 spots to No. 14.

Comment: IU dropped six spots to No. 17 this week with “Nagging”. IU, who had debuted at a young age of 16 with ballad number, “Missing Child” showcasing her strong vocal at such a young age, returned with a new single. The title track is “Nagging” which was co-composed by Lee Min Soo who was responsible for Brown Eyed Girls’ “Abracadabra” and G.Gorilla of bands, Eve and Sprinkler. Seul Ong of 2AM is featured in this song, garnering interests among fans.

Comment: Rookie boy band Infinite launches their First Invasion debut mini album. The seven-member group is from the same company as Epik High, who helps producing their album. Their first single “Come Back Again”, which mixes vintage rock and electronica for a stylish new sound. The song’s music video is directed by the director of Brown Eyed Girls’ Abracadabra. This week it returns to the top 20 at No. 19.

Jo Kwon has helped create the song himself with rookie composer Shim Eun Ji.  This week it drops one spot to No. 20.
